B!KE @ Trent

B!KE @ TRENT

(Campus workshop now permanently closed)

A Trent Levy provides B!KE with core funding from the Trent Undergraduate Students. In 2011 Undergraduate Students elected to support B!KE core operations by establishing a refundable levy that is indexed to inflation. In the 2019/2020 school year this levy was $2.18 per semester. Your support makes exceptional programming possible!

As a levy group, we are committed to serving students and the Trent community in the following ways:

  • Providing work opportunities for students through the Trent Work Study Program
  • Offering undergraduate research projects in partnership with the Trent Community Research Centre
  • Working with the Sustainability and Parking departments to enhance campus life
  • Playing a leadership role in levy group governance processes such as establishing the Trent University Peterborough Undergraduate Levy Policy
  • Creating volunteer learning opportunities
  • Providing campus-based services for students and faculty

To learn more about how your levy benefits Peterborough check out our annual reports or drop-in to the shop to talk with one of our friendly staff.

To request a levy refund from B!KE please email director@communitybikeshop.org with your name and student number by the last day that payment is due for the semester in which you are requesting a refund.

B!KE @ TRENT was a seasonal workshop on the Trent University campus. In the summer of 2018 the university needed more storage space, and asked us to leave campus. The B!KE @ TRENT workshop is now permanently closed. Find us downtown at 293 George Street North to get help with your bike.
