Workshop: Slippy Handling Skills

Workshop: Slippy Handling Skills

January 18, 2020

3:00 pm / 5:00 pm

Venue

B!KE: The Peterborough Community Cycling Hub

293 George Street

While many folks who are riding bikes this winter have likely learned some of these strategies, Charlie and I can help you build your winter bike handling skills. This workshop is free to the public and funded through the Winter Wheels program.

Workshop participants will meet at B!KE, have a short discussion, and then ride to Beavermead together to practice in a series of bicycle handling drills on snow and ice.

I always have fun at this workshop and imagine that riders of beginner and intermediate riding ability levels would also enjoy it. The ideal group size is 8-12 participants. The workshop will be postponed if the temperature is -12 or below.

Helmets are required to participate. Warm footwear and warm gloves strongly recommended. Please register by emailing tegan@communitybikeshop.org.
