Film description is as follows:
Young women of colour in East LA take to their bikes to confront injustice and racism, one ride at a time.
The Ovarian Psycos are an Eastside Los Angeles bicycle brigade founded by and for young womxn of colour. Fierce and strong, this unapologetic bike crew rides the streets, fostering connections to heal broken homes and providing protection for womxn facing violence in their neighbourhoods. The group’s founder, poet Xela de la X, struggles to find a balance between activism and parenting. Street artist Andi, estranged from her family, prepares herself to become the crew’s leader. Evie battles against her overprotective mother. With a credo born of feminist ideals, Indigenous understanding, and an urban/hood mentality, these guardians for womxn are out there – taking back the streets.
