Bike Night: Discovery Ride – Community Garden Tour

Join GreenUP and Nourish for a loving evening bike tour to learn more about Peterborough’s thriving Community Garden movement while visiting local community gardens. We will tour 4-5 gardens with an opportunity to hear about each site from some of their active gardeners. Community gardens provide communal access to public spaces for people to grow their own food. Take in the sites, smells and sounds of these gardens with us!

The tour will leave from GreenUP Ecology Park at 6pm. We will travel approximately 4km by bike lanes, trails, and quiet roads visiting community gardens east of the Otonabee. The tour will end at 7:30pm at the intersection of the Rotary Greenway Trail and Hunter Street. Join us at the Ashburnham Ale House for more Q&A about community gardens and biking in Peterborough, or head home along the trails.
