Venue
B!KE: The Peterborough Community Cycling Hub
293 George Street
As a part of DisOrientation Week 2019, Join B!KE for a DIY workshop where you can tune up your own bike! This workshop will provide up to 6 participants with the opportunity to complete their own bike tune-up. Our instructor Tegan will walk participants through the fundamentals of maintaining your bicycle in a fun and supportive learning environment.
Please bring a bicycle and come prepared to get your hands dirty!
We are offering this workshop in two sessions. The first session,
ABC’s of Bike Maintenance 12-1:30 at B!KE, is open to anyone.
The second is specifically for women and trans folks and will be held from 2-3:30 at B!KE. We recognize that mechanical skills are typically taught and learned by men. By offering this workshop for women and trans folks, we hope to create a welcoming and friendly environment for people who may feel more comfortable learning mechanical skills with other women and trans folks.
Both workshops are free for Trent Students, or $10 for non-students. Limit of 6 people per workshop. Registration is appreciated, email tegan@communitybikeshop.org to register.
